Is it worth using 5.45×39 mm PP?

In most cases, no. If the budget allows, it's better to switch directly to BP, which is significantly more effective against armored opponents.

Against which armor is PP most effective?

The cartridge performs best against armor up to 3rd class inclusive. Its effectiveness quickly drops against higher protection classes.

Why is PP rarely used?

Most players immediately choose 4th-level cartridges, as they are considered the optimal choice for PvP, and the price difference usually does not justify the loss of penetration capability.

Is there any point in buying PP?

Only with a very limited budget or at the early stage of the game. For most raids, 4th-level cartridges remain a significantly more advantageous choice.

5.45×39 mm PP round

Description

The 5.45×39 mm PP cartridge is a 3rd-level penetration ammunition that occupies an intermediate position between initial and full armor-piercing cartridges. Despite having higher penetration compared to early-level cartridges, it is practically unused in practice.

The reason is simple — most players prefer to switch directly to BP. The cost difference is usually not significant enough to sacrifice effectiveness against armored opponents. Therefore, PP is more commonly found only among beginners or in the most budget-friendly builds.
