The 7.62×51 mm UN round is a level 1 penetration round for the 7.62×51 mm caliber. It has very high base damage (79), but the penetration value is only 16 units, making the ammunition practically useless in PvP.
The 7.62×51 mm caliber is chosen for its high armor penetration and the ability to effectively engage opponents in heavy armor. Using the UN round completely negates this caliber's main advantage, which is why it is practically not used in the current meta.
79
Penetration | 16 |
Armor Damage | 8 |
Bullet Speed | 822 m/s |
Accuracy | +1 |
Vertical Recoil Control | -2 |
Horizontal Recoil Control | -3 |
Blunt Trauma | 2.7 |
A penetration of 16 corresponds to level 1 penetration, so the round is effective only against unarmored targets or those with minimal protection. Its armor penetration is insufficient against most players.
Meanwhile, the UN round has very high base damage (79) and good bullet speed (822 m/s), but these characteristics do not compensate for the extremely weak penetration. For weapons chambered in 7.62×51 mm, using such ammunition is considered impractical.
