Patch Notes for Season 7 'Utopia' — Zombies, New Weapons, and Major Balance Changes
On September 16, Season 7 'Utopia' launched in Arena Breakout: Infinite. The main theme of the update is zombies: developers added two new modes, several types of mutants, separate progression systems, and new equipment. Along with this, the game received two new rifles, experimental weapon modules, skill and workbench reworks, balance changes, and numerous improvements to existing modes.
The main innovation of the season is the full-fledged 'Zombie' mode, presented in two formats.
The PvPvE mode is available on three reworked maps: Farm, Valley, and Airport. In addition to other players and familiar enemies, various mutants now appear here.

There are several main types of infected: regular zombies, acid-attacking Reapers, swiftly lunging Trappers, exploding Fatties, and hammer-wielding Breakers. The most dangerous opponent is the new boss Phobos — an enhanced Breaker in heavy tactical armor.
The maps have new weather conditions, including night, rain, and fog. Some player actions can also trigger the appearance of a whole horde of mutants.
A separate 'Zombie Research' system has been introduced. During raids, you can find infected samples, evacuate them, and use them to unlock permanent upgrades that are effective in the 'Infected Zone'.
The mode also features field traders, new containers, supply drops, and separate missions directly during the raid. Completing the latter can reward the entire squad with additional loot crates.
The second format is a separate PvE mode at the Airport for a team of 1–4 players. Players choose a class, receive starting equipment, and try to survive as long as possible against increasingly powerful waves of mutants.

During the match, the threat level gradually increases, new missions and stronger opponents appear. Special 'Zombie' tokens can be spent at the trader for supplies and enhancements, and completing missions allows you to obtain more powerful weapons.
Merits earned for completing runs are used for separate progression outside the raid. Each new ability helps to last longer in subsequent runs. Players also have access to an exclusive ability — a kick that can knock back mutants.
Field traders have appeared in regular raids and the 'Infected Zone'. A few minutes after the raid starts, you can sell found loot, buy items, and mysterious crates from them. The more trade volume, the more intel about the map and valuable loot you can obtain.
The skill system also received a major update. Three main seasonal skills were added to the game:
Acoustic Ambushes — reduce sound blockage by helmets;
Tactical Belt — adds four 1×1 slots;
Hidden Compartment — allows discovering additional compartments in some containers.
They do not require skill points, are unlocked through seasonal missions, and reset at the start of a new season. Only one such skill can be used at a time.
Among regular skills, 'Last Stand' was introduced, reducing horizontal recoil and shake at critically low health. 'Parkour' was removed, and 'Quick Sealing' was moved to the survival category. You can now also save your own skill point distribution templates.
The arsenal has been expanded with two new rifles — A545 chambered in 5.45×39 mm and AK-15SK caliber 7.62×39 mm.

A system of experimental seasonal kits has been introduced, capable of significantly changing the characteristics and operation principle of existing weapons:
binary trigger for M110;
'Volcano' barrel for MPX;
burst fire kit for FAL;
fully automatic mode for PCC-9.
UMP45 received a new set of modification parts.
For fighting the infected, flare guns for calling supply drops, pheromone grenades for attracting mutants, and healing smoke grenades were added. Experimental reagents with various temporary boosts and side effects also appeared.
Additionally, a new M290 flashbang can now be crafted at the workbench.
'Supply Drop' was reworked to version 2.0. Now, team and personal crates expand as the level increases. Experience is awarded for finding containers, killing enemies, and using new terminals.

Regular terminals give a small amount of points, while hidden ones need to be captured and defended from other teams for a while. In return, they significantly speed up crate development.
The number of containers and loot has been increased, the respawn system changed, and more supply drops appear in the middle and end of the match.

The rules for the third Masters Tournament have also been updated. The encrypted file now gives the team a score multiplier, and its acquisition becomes known to other match participants. Additional intel and information about the kill leader have appeared.
Meanwhile, the Hostile Sector and Distorted Valley are unavailable in Season 7. Some special enemies from the Hostile Sector now appear on regular maps but in a weakened form.
Developers slightly increased the average time to kill and simultaneously increased the importance of accurate headshots.
The effective range for most weapons has been increased. The ricochet mechanic was completely removed from helmets and masks, but 5th and 6th class armor now more reliably protects against weak ammunition up to a certain level of durability loss.
The tactical flashlight became less bright and received an aiming speed penalty. Tear gas GLI F4 now lasts 50 instead of 80 seconds, and the radius of some flashbangs and shock grenades was increased.
Separate rebalancing was done for T88, H416, ACE31, FAMAS, MCX, FAL, T03, UMP45, M110, AK-74N, AN-94, and VSS. The armor penetration for SS190 ammo was increased from 41 to 42, and armor damage from 18 to 19.
The workbench system became simpler. After unlocking a formula, it is immediately available at the maximum level and no longer requires separate leveling. Material requirements for many recipes were revised, and previously underused items received new applications.
Simultaneously, a new seasonal mechanic 'Upgrade Research' appeared. During raids, you can find special blueprints, study formulas with their help, and receive unique enhancements.
Formulas can be shared through friends' trophy rooms. All obtained research results are only valid within the current season and reset at the start of the next one.
Several new red items appeared in Season 7: 'Elysium', MRID laptop, northern stars, double-griffon lute, and emerald jade flute.

'Elysium' became a new ultra-rare item, comparable in value to 'Utopia'. It can be found in the Infected Zone, and completing a certain quest chain guarantees obtaining one.
Some new collectible items also received their own interactions directly during the raid.
The control system became more responsive — developers improved sprint command processing and fixed situations where the character would not start running after pressing the key.
Personal tokens can now be inspected directly during the raid. Depending on the number of collected tokens, five different interaction animations are available.
The results screen became more informative: after death, you can view detailed damage data for the last 30 seconds of combat, including ammo and armor interactions. The best moments of the raid can now be shared in the international chat.
For items in the 'Miscellaneous' category, a 'Check Usage' function appeared, showing available trades and workbench recipes.
In the Blockade Zone, including the Infected Zone, the kit cost is now limited to 900,000 Coins, and the maximum protection and penetration level is 5.
On normal difficulty, armor and ammunition with protection and penetration levels no higher than 4 are allowed.
Along with new content, developers fixed a number of technical issues. Sprint and disappearing sound errors were resolved, incorrect weapon length impact on recoil and standard and medium barrel range values for Vector45 were fixed.
The strong overexposure of surfaces when using a tactical flashlight on high graphics settings was also fixed.
Season 7 'Utopia' became one of the largest updates for Arena Breakout: Infinite: in addition to the experimental zombie direction, developers significantly expanded progression, updated classic modes, and made a major package of changes to the combat system and game economy.
