Ahead of the fifth season, the developers of Arena Breakout: Infinite have introduced a new rating system that significantly differs from the usual format. However, the classic rating isn't going anywhere — it will continue to exist in parallel. Players are essentially offered two different approaches to competitive play.
The new mode introduces separate ranked battles with unique rules and match structures. At the start of the season, all battles will take place on one map:
Map: 'TV Station'
Possible expansion of the map pool in the future
Separate mode, not replacing the classic rating
This approach allows developers to fine-tune the mechanics and gather player feedback.
The main difference of the new mode is increased transparency of information and a shift in focus to raid economics.
Before the raid:
A table of all teams is displayed
Opponents' equipment and weapons are visible
You can assess the threat level in advance
During the raid:
A table of all teams' loot is available
You can see who has looted how much in real-time
You can track leaders and adjust strategy
Victory conditions:
The team with the highest loot value wins
Kills and survival take a back seat
The main criterion is economic efficiency
The new system significantly affects the style of play:
More tactics and planning
Need to balance risk and profit
Less emphasis on PvP, more on loot
Ability to adapt during the raid
Players will be able to understand the balance of power in advance and make more informed decisions.
Various rewards are provided for progress in the new rating mode:
Skins for characters and equipment
Avatars, frames, and profile backgrounds
In-game currency (Coins)
Additional bonuses
The new rating system looks like an experiment focusing on transparency and economic competition. It offers an alternative format that can both diversify gameplay and spark discussions in the community.
The final assessment of the innovation will be possible after the release of the fifth season when players can test it in real conditions.
